Our Management Board consists of two managing directors who are jointly responsible for AEB’s management and general affairs.

Supervisory Board

Since January 2016, our Supervisory Board has five members. The Supervisory Board meets at least five times a year.

Marianne Van Leeuwen
Marianne van Leeuwen, Chair, was appointed as of 4 March 2014 and is responsible for the following areas: remuneration (remuneration and remuneration policy), recruitment & selection.

Erika Marseille - Portret

Erika Marseille was appointed as of 1 March 2018 and is responsible for audits.

Pieter ter Kuile
Pieter ter Kuile was appointed as of 1 January 2016 and is responsible for audits.

Marc van 't Noordende

Marc van 't Noordende was appointed as of 1 January 2016 and is responsible remuneration and recruitment & selection.


The Supervisory Board is responsible for supervising the management of AEB and general affairs. The Supervisory Board also advises the Management Board.

Corporate governance

On 1 January 2014 the Waste Energy Authority was corporatized into AEB Holding Inc. with 100% of the shares owned by the City of Amsterdam. The company’s trade name is AEB Amsterdam.
